Frequently Asked Questions

Does NDIS fund psychology and counselling services?

The answer is yes! When the support improves the participant’s quality of life, NDIS funds both psychology and counselling services. The NDIS will cover these services when the support aligns with the participant’s NDIS funded plan and is related to their disability.

Am I eligible for NDIS psychology or counselling funding?

The NDIS will provide funding for psychology or counselling if you:

When can a person receive NDIS for mental health?

How do I use NDIS funding to pay for psychology sessions?

If your NDIS funding is ‘Self Managed’, your psychology or counselling session fees will be paid directly to BUSY Health and this can be reimbursed using your NDIS funding.

If you have an NDIS Plan Manager, BUSY Health will send the invoice direct to them after the completed psychology or counselling session.
